Why Is The Cat Waiting Under The Only Light

Did you notice the cat watching you first?

Somewhere inside Haunted Town, long after everyone went to sleep, a tiny black cat climbed onto an old stone wall and refused to leave.

The fireflies kept floating around it. The stars stayed bright above it. And the little golden eyes never stopped staring into the darkness beyond the garden.

Maybe it was waiting for someone. Maybe it was protecting a secret. Or maybe it simply found the best seat in the entire night sky.
