The last concert at Drosselmeyer Hall sold no tickets.
They found the program the next morning. One piece: Paganini, Caprice No. 24. The chairs were still stacked. The violin, left on stage, had no strings. The bow lay beside it, resin worn to dust. The blindfold on the music stand was the only thing that looked used.
Witnesses — there were three, all staff — reported hearing a single instrument from the locked auditorium at 2:00 AM. Not through the doors. Through the walls. Through the floor. As if the building itself had learned to resonate at one frequency and chosen that frequency on purpose.
The amber violin (#c9adad) in this image is the only warm object in a field of midnight blues (#8b98aa). That is the rule of the piece: warmth is the anomaly. The bandages are not wounds. They are preparation. You do not cover your eyes to hide. You cover them to see something else.
Music Box Ghost Hand — same stage, different instrument. Midnight Serenade Ghostly Audience — when the seats are not empty.
